Best printable target for grouping loads at 200 or 300yds.

Just wondering what is the best target to shoot groups on. I have a 22 power scope. But some targets just seem to center and hold the crosshairs better. And some let you see the bullet holes better. Right now my favorite is a 2" diamond blk. I also like to print my own off of the web sites that have them.

I us playing cards for my 22LR you get 52-60 cards for $1.00
plus tax printer Ink is high.

I am gessing you'r not shooting a 22lr.

I make my own. It is a black circle with a white cross hair in it. You fill the white cross hairs with the black reticule of the scope and you are dead on. Depending on the thickness of the reticule determines how thick I make the white cross hair on the black circle. For my 200 yard target I double the size of the black circle and the thickness of the white cross hair. Above these aiming points I place a fine lined 1 inch square box. Easy to see the bullet holes provided you keep them out of the black circle. Attached is an example.

I like a diamond too, because it's easier to get the crosshairs lined up, but I prefer other colors instead of black...sometimes if the bullet hits in the black border, it's hard to see. Sinclair has some that I like with different size diamonds from Mountain Plains Data. The diamonds are blue (and so is the grid), so it's easy to see where your bullet hit.

I also have had problems if the grid is black lines. With a fine crosshair, the crosshair blends in with the black grid lines.
