Best press for 338AX and other large calibers

Hello.

I'm looking to buy a press that will handle a range of rounds from .223/5.56 all the way up to the 338ax/.50 large caliber rounds (maybe ready to reload late next year for the larger chosen rifle/round).

But I don't want to have to buy Two presses.

I don't intend to go for plinking/mass production, more accuracy matches to the rifles I have.

It has been suggested that a Rockchucker Supreme II or Redding Ultramag press would be suitable.

What are your thoughts ?

What are people here using for the larger caliber rounds for high accuracy, long range.

Thanks...Martin

The rcbs ammomaster I believe is wht you need. Call rcbs and they will instruct you which way to go. I sold one some years back to a guy who loaded 50bmg and 338 lapua.

I have enjoyed owning a Redding UltraMag. Largest ctg I've loaded with it was the .30-378wby. Press has the large diameter threads for .50BMG standard and a threaded insert for 7/8x14 which is very good arrangement. Have benefited from the built-in priming arm as well. Probably would also work fine for light duty bullet swaging and any case-forming requirements you might have which don't require hydraulic assist.
