Best powder for 6.5C using 130 grain ELD or Nosler 140 grain Custom Comps

I got a 22" heavy Lothar Walther 6.5 Creed barrel for my M14 and I need to work up some loads. I have 130 grain ELD's and 140 grain Nos CC's.

I have about 50 cases of once-fired Hornady cases and I have IMR-4350, Varget, IMR-4064, 6.5 StaBall, Rl-15, IMR-4895 and 8208 XBR.

Which powder should I focus on?

IMR-4350 and 6.5 StaBall are the best choices from that group.

I don`t know what a M14 is, but i use 6.5 StaBall with a 140 & 143 grain with very good results. YMMV

44 grains of staball 6.5 and a fed lg rifle

Follow whatever the powder manufacture says in their manual, and start LOW and work your way up!

Thanks! Just ordered an 8 pound jug of 6.5 StaBall. I've got 300 130 grain ELD's and 1,000 Nosler 140 grain CC's to work with.
