I and my customers have shot literally 10s of thousands of rounds out of a 6mmBRX. The barrel length of choice for a 6mmBRX is 30-32 inches with 107-108 grain bullets in a 7.8 -8. twist combinaation.
As stated above Varget and Re-15 are the proven choices for the BRX.
The purpose of the BRX is accuracy, case and barrel longevity, good components and ease of tuning. A velocity of 3020-3080 fps reached the best accuracy node. Yes the BRX can acheive 3100 plus fps but brass life and barrel life begin to deminish. As does accuracy fliers are a common problem when one leaves the accuracy node previously mentioned.
The 6mmBRX is best for 100 to 150 extra fps over the 6mmBR.
If you want more velocity then shoot a bigger cartridge.
