Best material

Hi guy's i am about to order a rear bag for my ST1000 tracker stock..... What is the best material for the ears to be made from nylon cordura or leather?

I switched over to cordura bags, front and rear at the beginning of this outdoor season, and am very pleased with them. Rifles slide like they are on roller bearings, and I don't fool around with baby powder, spray, or anything else. Not needed.

Thanks fdshuster that is what I was hoping to here. i have herd nylon cordura a little harder on gloss and painted finishes have you noticed any wearing?

Been using them with: a McMillan Edge, Kelbly, Robertson/Borden & 2 Shehane Trackers, all fiberglass with the molded in colors, all 3" wide forends, and have not seen any damage & I am always checking. Recently bought a used Shehane Tracker that came with stock tape attached to the forend, did not like it, removed it and that stock slides fine. Maybe the cordura would be rough on a painted stock? I don't know since I don't have any that are painted. Someone who has one may chime in with their experiences.

I have both, but prefer Cordura. Try them both, then make your decision.

I ended up going with cordura.... Protektor make this bag specifically for the ST-1000 Tracker stock, in comes with ether 1" or .700 between the ears i went with .700, it was a bit more expensive than i thought, but i think it will be worth it..
