Hi, I just got 6mm ppc rifle. It is heavy barrel 26' with 1-14 twist.
The trigger is around 1lb. Just touch it and it goes off.
I've got some ammo with the rifle. The neck is 0.261 in both fired and .2615 unfired rounds. I shot 9 rounds and only 6 rounds left :,
The cases I have shot have different length:
1.454, 1.456. 1.45, 1.455, 1.452, 1.456, 1.49, 1.471, 1.462.
What is correct size of the shell or it is depend on the rifle?
Can i just take new 220 Russian brass, size with 6mm pps die, load it, shoot and trim to necessary size or it has to be sized with 6mm die and trimmed before shooting?
The most popular 6PPC powders for Benchrest are: Vihtavuori N133, H322, and Benchmark. N133 is now used by most 6PPC competitors, with H322 second, and Benchmark a not so close third. Among the top fifty shooters at the 2004 Super Shoot, N133 and Federal primers were used by a large majority of the competitors.

According to internet my best choice will be 60-70 GR bullets. I am going to 300 m shooting course today and Saturday. Hopefully I will get some answers there.
I contacted Sierra and they sent me some info, see attached).
They recommend #1505 .243' 70 gr. HPBT MatchKing. What is the best powder, how many grains) for 300m shooting?
What bullets, powder and primers do you use for 300m accuracy shootings? What is the Cartridge Overall Length and length of the brass itself?
Do you use 220 Russian brasses to form 6mm cartridge?
Any comments?
