If you are just looking rebarrel your rifle, I know 4 that do excellent work: 1.) Bryan Blake; 2.) Scott Harris; 3.) Alan Rosenthal and 4.) Dan Bramley. None in any particular order. All are on this forum except for Bryan Blake. His number is: 602-692-2677 and Bryan's company makes excellent barrels to boot!

Not neccesarily, but I like to do face to face. Im a 30yr machinist and I just enjoy seeing shops. And its nice to develop a relationship instead of just shipping off your guns to whoever.

Really. Bob Brackney is one of the best SR benchrest gunsmith's in AZ. That's coming from Dwight Scott when I asked him about Bob.

I can appreciate that. I’m the same way. My gunsmith lives 45 mins from me.

Bob Brackney, Gary Ocock, or Lester Bruno are all in AZ and you could not do better than hire one of these three men. They are all great shooters and they know what it takes to build winning rifles.

Gary Ocock has done excellent work for me and can usually be found at the Ben Avery benchrest range on the weekends.

And Show.Low.

there are plenty of good smiths in Arizona. Gary O'Cock is a hall of fame shooter and smith. Same goes for Lester Bruno. The list goes on. Just depends on what the project is.

Tom Ownsby at Desert Forge Precision , in Benson,Az. does stuff for us.

Lester is not fast, but he's good! Gary is usually super busy and it might be difficult to get him to accept the job. Remember also, the Berger Nationals are coming up in Feb and I'm sure Gary and Lester will be there as usual. I don't know Bob so I can't comment on whether he has the time to do your work.

I appreciate all the feedback. I talked with some people mentioned. For what Im doing they all seem to think I should just send pacnor my action and let them do all the work I want.
