Best F-Class stock

Open or TR … and opinions are going to vary, best thing to do is go to a match and ask people if you can get behind their rifle and even shoot it if possible, as for me and my TR rifles I perfer a Manners T6A or T2A and my PR&T stock.

McMillan and Cerus are near the top my opinion. I have both and they are top quality. If you go to a large match and see what is on the line and talk to shooters they will help. And if you don’t have a top notch builder then the best stock might work out so well. Just my opinion

Popularity can change with availability. It sounds like Will has a big back log with Cerus. McMilan is no long inletting. Dima looks like a good stock, I’m not sure how availability is. X Ring has a good stock, and I recently received one.

I own and use both Cerus and McMillan Kestros ZR stocks - all fitted with RAD systems. Whilst both track awesome, I do prefer the feel and recoil impulse of the Cerus and it is simply magic each time I put my shoulder to it.

Don’t forget about Dima, I love mine and have been shooting it exclusively lately. Great price points, beautiful wood, they track great and often times he has them in stock or at least short lead times.
Had to look up Dima. Seems they collaborate with Dolphin. Good
to go there......

Can I modify the question? Which stock handles torque the best? The high riding X-Ring style or the low riding z-rail Cerus or McMillan? I asking because I cant decide.

This question in my opinion can only be answered by shooting one. I recently sold a stock that many, many, others consider to be one of the best. I could never get it to shoot consistently for ME. I can say it shot very well for the previous owner. I have other stocks that people have said they do not like that shoot great for ME.
Like many things in this sport, only YOU will know what works for YOU.
YMMV

I have two Manners F-Class stocks with BAT 3LL actions. Very long, stiff and solid carbon fiber. My first one was received ten months after order. The second one took fourteen months. They currently list it at $1185 with cheekpiece and fixed butt (my configuration). I would buy another but suspect it would take two years.

In my opinion, having used higher riding stocks previously, the difference with the low riding stocks like the Kestros ZR and Cerus XR, they definitely tame torque better. There's a lot to be said for having a low centre of gravity, but again, having a good, stable front rest, and a solid, heavy rear bag which doesn't slide around all over the place all contribute to taming torque provided your rifle/shooting position setup is consistent.
