This was the best night of the 2019 season. The night started out at my buddies Farm. We sat up in his pasture field , he had seen a young coyote there earlier, started out with a rodent in distress ,this young one couldn't resist.
After shooting this one, I change up calls and 30 seconds I hear a noise and the leaves to my right and I know I've got one coming in close.
After getting this one we head out to a new Farm that I had not hunted yet, just met the landowner today and got permission. They had been seeing for 4 coyote up around the barns and he wanted them removed before they get in to the livestock. Did not have time to walk over the ground so we sort of set up blind. Field is "L" shaped, we set up on the inside corner ,wanted to head further up to are left but there was no place to really see. So we set up and the inside corner and it's in a Waterway that heads away from us. I started to call and within 40 seconds a coyote comes up over the top and busted us, this is the first coyote you see in the video. Ended up calling a total of 5 in, managed to get 2, the first one probably about 60 yards the second one was pushing 180yds, 4 coyotes is a good-night here in Ohio.
This night was mid November. 2019 ended up a pretty good year with 26 coyotes.
