Best Bullet Removing Method or Die

Is their a certain die or tool you wouldn't live without for pulling bullet from live cases... I need to find something that's good for removing bullet.. What do you guys like??? Thanks...

I like the hammer (inertia) method as well. I put a small chunk of soft material in the bottom so that even lead bullet tips are not damaged
when the bullet comes loose.

If "best" means the best chance to preserve a pristine bullet . . . inertia pullers (with a soft cotton landing zone for the bullet) don't exert any extra "grips" on the bullet to remove it.

If the risk of or actual damage to the bullet doesn't concern you, then there are other that will do the job faster and with less effort.

I can re- use the bullets in br comp. if you crank it down tight you maybe could damage em but it doesnt take much hold with his design. The collet type ruins every bullet i pull. You can clearly see a ring but theyre good for fireforming

Sounds good, time to spent more money. I'm always buying more tools. I thought reloading was a way to save money.

Good like how? Fast and easy - Hornady cam-loc bullet puller. No damage to bullet - can't be done - use pulled bullets for fouling rounds.

I think damage will depend on neck tension. I've pulled a bunch with both an inertial and an RCBS. If I have to pull down 50 or 100 bullets, I'm putting the RCBS in the press

I have several bullet removers. The only one that doesn't damage the bullets is the Impact hammer method . I don't have the PMA one but it looks like it is made for certain cartages.
Most of the bullet pulling I did was when I was trying to regulate the barrels on double rifles
QL made that job easy. Larry

Another vote for the hornady collet puller. I have and use the inertia( hammer) to pull occ bullet but the biggest drawback is you have powder in the hammer and you have to remove it before pulling the next one. As far as bullet damage using the hornady...bullet tension is the key. An annealed neck with .002 "tension" allows release of the bullet with minimal grip from the collet which one can control. These bullets are like new, esp if internal case neck is clean and a good chamfer. An unannealed neck is a royal PITA to remove it' s bullet and these bullets are trashed. I learned I was inadequately annealing necks when I got crazy groups and decided to pull remaining bullets and I had to use tremendous grip, with multiple slips, before getting these bullets out. I properly annealed these cases, inserted bullets, waited a day, then pulled these bullets with great ease. Another advantage...bullet too deep, pull it, resize neck while powder in case( die has to have removable decapping stem), then seat bullet to desired point. Most of the time I'm dumping powder and if you are pulling 10-20+ the collet is so much nicer than the hammer.

The RCBS collet puller doesn't work flawlessly with the Forster Co-Ax. It works, but takes some, effort.

The Hornady bullet puller works great with a Coax. You start to develop a "feel" for how much pressure is needed.

The inertia, hammer-type work fine if you only have to pull one or two. Anymore than that, they're for the birds. Pick up the Hornady with the different collets that you need and you're good to go.
