Best Budget RMR

Looking to buy another RMR style sight. I have two UTG units and a Holosun. The UTGs work but are nowhere as nice as the Holosun.
I really like the shake and wake on the Holosun.

So —Who makes the best budget unit? $100-$150

If I spend more I think I will buy another Holosun.

RMRs are specific to Trijicon. I’m assuming you are looking for a red dot optic for a pistol. If so, the lowest priced models don’t hold up well. The Holosun models are a mid priced optic and are a very good value

I know it’s going to be pretty hard in your price range, but please buy something that isn’t made in China. We have to stop supporting our enemy.

The Trijicon RMR is great, but pretty expensive. The Leupold Deltapoint Pro is also an excellent sight in the same price range, and has a motion-activated power on feature. That’s probably where Holosun stole the technology from. It also has a larger window than the RMR and you don’t need to take it off the firearm to change the battery. I have both of them, and I think I like the Leupold better. While not in the league of the other two, the Burris Fastfire 3 is pretty nice little sight that’s not made in China. You can find them on sale pretty regularly for not much more than $200. I have one on an AR pistol, and another on a Ruger Mark III. Some firearms just don’t warrant a $450 optic, and the FF3 does a good job on them.

Good luck.

I thought the FF3 was made in China. You can probably get one within budget if you shop around and/or wait a minute for a sale. You can safely buy them used because Burris will pretty much just send you a new one any time you send in a old one.

The two I have both say made in Philippines. Not as good as “made in South Dakota” or something like that, but at least not a country that is actively trying to destroy ours.

I just dug through my emails and found the invoice for the last one I bought. It was $179.99 with free shipping from Midway on 8/20/21. Not bad.
