Best barrel nut and wrench for a Remage

For looks, I really like the PacNor Pac Nut. The Bug Nut from Bug Holes is about the most practical.
I've modified the stock Savage wrench to work on certain barrels.
On the 1.25" barrels, I use a Savage wrench I cut to be a spanner
wrench since there is no sliding a stock wrench over the thicker

This nut uses a 1.25 inch wrench or a simple crescent wrench. The open end wrench is far superior to the ones that have to go on from the end of the barrel for convenience and ease of use.

The best action wrench for barrel nut install is the Davidson port wrench.

Ive always used Zermatt's 12 point barrel nut on any savage or remington nut barrels Ive installed. Uses a standard 1 1/8" wrench to tighten which is heavy and big with lots of leverage. Can pick one up for $15-$20 on Amazon if you dont already have one
