Best 6mm Cleaning rod?

I have a complete collection of rods and Ivy is hands down the best. The rest were regulated down to hunting guns and give aways to guys that had nothing or take down aluminum rods. Without a good bore guide even the Ive is useless......jim

I do not own this rod, but I do NOT like any of the high end rods that can be used in a .22 in the 6mm. Too small and bendable. I have been just sucking it up, but this rod seems to be a larger diameter one focused on the 6mm bore. I will order one pronto.

I have the BoreStix rod. You won't regret owning one.

A little advice on the size of the cleaning rod your choice. Use a 22 cal. I have always used them even on the 30 cal. that way you can also use larger patches!

If you're bending a high quality rod like Pro-Shot or Dewey, you're using too tight a patch. Many SR BR competitors shooting 6 mm use a .22 cal rod and .22 jag with 1-3/4" square patches (quality ones like Pro-shot who maintain thickness consistency) . If you're bending it on a new bronze brush, it's either the wrong size or you don't use enough bore cleaner.....keep the brush well saturated - as well as the first patches.

I've been using these; available locally. Dewey is my next choice.

I bought a Montana extreme 6 mos ago and have not used, looks nice, not a fan of coated rods though.

Well guys, I have news. The rod was not turning with the rifling because the jag I have been using was bent ever so slightly. It was enough to put pressure on the ferrule of the rod against the rifling. I put a new jag on and had no more problems. I verified no more rubbing by putting dykem on the jag and ferrule of the rod. So it looks like I don't need a new rod after all.
