Best 6 ppc dies ?

I know a chamber match die is ideal but if you don't have that what is a good go too ?

If you don't have a die at all, then there's nothing to stop you from getting a custom die. Cost isn't a factor at all in getting the right one. One of my rifles currently uses a Harrell's "0" die. The other one probably needs a #2, as the #4 sizes it a bit too much. It gets by with a Redding Body Die and a Neck Bushing die that it came with for now.

Yep Harrells is the almost-instant custom die solution. Just wish it was available in more calibers

Harrells is so easy that there is little justification for doing anything else. He has dies of various dimensions on the shelf ready to go. He and I recommend that you call before ordering. They are super nice and easy to deal with. If you look at chamber drawings, of all of the different variations of tight neck 6PPC chambers you will notice that pretty much all of them have the same shoulder diameter, or so close the difference is insignificant. That leaves the base opening diameter as the only real difference. The numbering system that others have referred to is referenced off a long popular JGS reamer design with the number being the number of thousandths below baseline (bigger number, smaller base ID). His dies are chambered using a CNC machine and he produces the different sizes and finishes them for stock, so that when he gets your order with your fired cases he simply gauges your cases, refers to any notes from your phone conversation ( Some guys want more or less sizing than others.) takes the appropriate die out of stock and sends it. If it does not size the way that you wanted, you can return it for one that does. I do not know of anyone who has had to, but he will.

I have a 2. It's a slim body and has worked great on 2 different ppc's that i use two different bushing in.

Don't get hung up on that as an absolute. I have 2 sets of custom dies made to match my reamer. I use a RCBS small base sizing die along with a Wilson micrometer top seating die. Why, it works best. It's not about the tomahawk, it's about the Indian.

I ordered one a while ago for a 30br without sending in cases and they said they would swap it out if it wasn't the right size. I ordered a number 3. I would probably just buy another one if I needed a different size.

They are great to deal with.
