Best 300 - 600+ yard range in Florida?

If you had to move somewhere in Florida to be close (under 2 hour drive) to a range at least 300 yards in length, well equipped, well maintained & safe where would that be?

Me thinks that BLS is already pretty familiar with Manatee... ;)

(Go check the "Apology" thread).

Your right about that. If Manatee doesn't suit your fancy then it would be Port Malabar. Up in N.Florida there is Bradford Sporting Farm. It has pistol range a 100 yard range, 300 yard, and an 850 yard range. Sporting clays, 5 stand. The 850 requires you to be qualified and is NEVER busy. You can shoot whatever yardage you choose. This is where I go to confirm my dope for my Tac rifles.

I live in Orlando. I am a member at Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club on the East coast at Palm Bay (72 miles one way, 100-200 and 600 yard range with pistol & shotgun ranges as well), CFRPC is only a 12 mile drive 100 & 300 yard ranges, and Manatee is under a 2-hour drive also (I haven't shoot there yet), Titusville club is 55 miles and have 100 & 200 yard ranges, Volusia County Gun Club is about 1.5 hr drive and has several ranges up to 600 yards.

I shot a range last week in Ocala, they had steel at 100 yards thru 1000 yards. Odd yardage was white steel, even was black. They spotted for you. They had paper at 100 to check your zero. I've shot 4 ranges in Florida that go out to 1000 yards, they are all nice ranges. I would have to say that Core Shooting Solutions outside of Baker county in the panhandle is a very close second to Manatee, first if you shoot mostly prone or positional, they do have some benches and you have access 7 days a week, providing there is not a scheduled event.

Don, Where is the range in Ocala? Would they let someone go put up a target with Shotmarker first thing in the morning? retrieve it later in the day?

The range no longer exists.
Now days most of my steel banging out to 850 yards is at Bradford Sporting Farm, it's located in Graham Florida. The bad thing about shooting there is you have to qualify, and it's costly these days.

Manatee, is there anywhere else?

We just opened Bone Valley Range on October 1st 2025.
It's located on Hwy 27 just south of Mulberry, FL. (8 miles, East-Southeast of the former JTAC range)

Currently, we have up to 500 yds available. (also working on an adjacent property to enable 1 mile shooting)

If you enjoy pistol/AR/shotgun run and gun style shooting, we have 11 other bays, to include:
6, 25x25 yd bays, a 360° bay, 2, 50x60yd bays, 1 50x100yd bay, a 200yd bay and of course the 500yd precision area.
You are NOT required to static shoot, nor do we have speed limits for your trigger finger. You CAN draw and shoot.

Polk Sporting Clays is also located in the property.

Ground was broken in June of this year, and we opened in October. Improvements to the range and facilities are happening every day.
