Best .30 BR Bullets?

Last time I ordered bullets for my .30BR was several years back - when I ordered a good supply of Knight's 112's, which shoot really well in my rifle. Back then - there were very few sources of .30 caliber target bullets in the lighter spectrum suitable for the .30 BR. Has that changed much? I had my .30 BR largely in rest mode for a while and want to pull it out to see daylight again. Want to see what all is worth looking at.

Right There are 5 top shelf bullet makers. Measure you Bullets. A few .0001” on the body can make a difference. Call these guys. Most will be glad to share their knowledge.

+1 A while back I called Mr Randy with a question about which of his bullets to choose for a 30br and walked away with more quality information in 30 min than 6 months worth of internet research!

I built a 30BR quite a while back on whim because I needed a change of pace from the big cased African cartridges. My first attempt was to shorten a barrel originally chambered for the .308 Win. since I had it on the rack. It actually worked pretty good considering the leade and throat dimensions. But the bullets were standard, lightweight .308 bullets so I called Randy so he could set me straight. Then I bought the correct reamer and used an excellent Bartlein barrel. What a difference! Now we have several top-of-the-line bullet makers assisting with our aspirations. I have recently gotten some Bart's and I'll try the others later. All of these bullet makers give a ton back to the sport and to the shooters! Support them whenever you can.

Probabaly the single best shooting 30 that I've seen is Larry's 115 on a .925 jacket. I think his 118 on a 1.000 is probably his most popular though and I've shot a few bucket loads of those too. Both are excellent, as is every bullet he makes that I've been fortunate enough to shoot.

These work well for me. Randy Robinett was also very patient and very generous with his time when explaining what bullet would work best for my application and why it would provide good results. He provided insights that saved me a great deal of time and money.
