Bertram Brass

How does the quality of Bertram brass compare to Lapua?
From Bertram Brass website; "Our brass is very sturdy and almost always performs equal to or better than our competitors. We keep our prices fair as we have low overhead and strive to deliver."

Even the company admits it may not perform to standards. Try it and see how it holds together, maybe the best around.

I just went and looked at the website.
I'm not sure about the stuff. I'm sure they have a decent product. But it's high.
243 , brass is 200$

I was shooting their 300wsm brass for a while in my light gun. the first batch I got a few years ago was great. I bought another 200 pieces last year and it was absolutely terrible. The necks were garbage. When I say garbage I mean the amount you would’ve had to taken off of these necks to make them consistent was absurd. Also I junked I think 4 pieces because they left the material on the case head so thick it wouldn’t fit in a shell holder. I ditched it and actually went back to Winchester because I couldn’t get Norma at the time and was way happier.

I sorted through some 28 Nosler brass and out of 38 cases I ended up with 9 and I still had to turn the necks

L.Sherm, my sentiments exactly. I bought some(only maker) 6.5x58R Sauer, it is terrible, extremely thin neck and very brittle(first loading split necks) I have to anneal before loading first time. It is a lot of work but Norma 9.3x72R makes much better cases after shortening and sizing down.
