Berger LRBT vs VLD

Gents:

I was looking at Bryan Litz's book and comparing form factors for the 175 GN LRBT and the VLD bullets. I notice that the G7 form factor for the LRBT is 0.999 vs. 1.035 for the VLD. I assume that the increase i7 is due to the longer VLD bullet length. Regardless, given its larger drag, what are the advantages of the VLD and have others had good results with them? I have found the LRBT to be excellent. Is there a reason to consider the VLD?

Thanks,

Mike

Since they came out with their Hybrids there really is no reason to hassle the VLDs and their unique seating depth issues. Depending upon the bullet, the LRBTs BCs are so close to the VLDs I have made the choice to save my components for competition instead of load developement. The Hybrids are the way to go but they are in serious demand while the LRBT (and the Sierra 2156s) are generally more available (when everyone is not prepping for Perry).
