Berger load data or Pet loads for 50g/.204

Hello -

I recently had my .204 Rem tuned & re-barrelled (Pac-Nor) and was looking for some load date for the Berger 50 grain varmint match HP's. I have the "Berger Bible" on order, but was hoping get to the range this weekend. Got an itchy trigger finger!

I just got thier manual about two weeks ago. I will post maxs for your bullet but please don't start there. starting loads are about 2 gr lower. .........BE SAFE!!!

I got good accuracy with 25.7 grains of h4895 and 24 grains of benchmark.
These are hodgdons published max loads using the 50 grain berger.
Berger say on their website that this bullet is being discontinued so you might be better off starting with a different bullet.

Thanks for the info, it's a good place to start, or not. I have more than one friend that loves the 50 gain HP for coyotes. They as well as I are sorry hear that the 50 grainier is going to be discontinued. Specially me since I just had my .204 rebarrelled. Their's always the 40 grainier though.

Ranger116, What is your twist rate for that new build?

Don't know if you have any data yet but this link has everybody's loads.

Go to the IMR loads they have data for the 50 Bergers.

In this link Hodgdon also has load data for the 50's.
