Berger drought

In the last month i picked up 1000 80.5's and 500 155 hybrids.

In a properly throated barrel, the 147's are shooting amazing in my 8T 6.5x47 lapua. I have seen no problems so far. These 147's need a LONG throat or flyers out of the group abound.

Like what?

Sure there are other good bullets, but not really any in the mainstream production arena that I would dare to say are “better” than Berger. Unless it’s a custom hand made match bullet then it’s darn tough to beat the accuracy of Berger. Hornady and Sierra certainly have not been able to take the accuracy crown from Berger. So until somebody does, Walt’s name will live on

I extended the throat in my 6.5X47 to keep them out of the donut. All I can shoot now and get to the lands is 140 and 147 ELD-m and 142 SMKs. I knew up front this would happen. My barrel loves the 147".
