Berger Bullets Unfair!

What's up with all this Berger BC discussion? How dare they as a company manufacture bullets that win matches, are readily available, and at a fair price to boot!

Don't they know they should do as others do. That is don't publish any BC numbers EVER!
Always have a shortage of available bullets keeping the demand great.
Charge an exorbitant price since after all there is some fool always willing to pay it.

Hmmmm sounds more and more like big oil dosen't it?

Now before the children start to scream foul this is all mean't as a little humor, but can't you see the absurdity in it all?

If they shoot for you use them.
If you are BC number sensitive don't read it
If you want to shoot some other bullet, by all means do.
But, just remember my first paragraph.

I for one say thank you Berger bullets.

If they fit in the case I am loading & shoot I will use them. Being new to the 6 BR Cartridge I want something to shoot accurate. Thats why I am Building a 6BR. B.c.'s don't mean alot to some one like me. maybe they should, I don't know. Rather spend my time shooting bullets than measuring measuring them. Agree completely with you it doesn't matter to me what the box says, what color they are.as long as there is a little quality and they stand behind their product & the people that use it.I am not a Competition shooter just playing, but boy do I love the smell of gunpowder:):)

All I know is that I've shot my highest 600 yard scores and highest 600 yard X counts with a service rifle using Berger bullets.

That's all the reason I need to load them up.

I continue to use the Berger's myself. I set a 100 yard range record, where I shoot BR. I shot a .057" @ 100 yards ten years ago, which still stands at that range today. I will continue to use Berger's simply because they work! As a side note, the year before Eunice won the Super Shoot, Walt & Eunice stopped by to deliver our bullet order before going out to Ohio, and just to say hello to all of us at Sinclair. Eunice saw the target hanging on the wall, and asked me which bullet I had used. I told her that I had used the Berger 65gr. short jacket, and she said "Great!". Before they left to go on to Ohio, she stopped by my desk and laid a box of 65gr. short jackets on my desk and told me that was her way of saying "thank you" for using their bullets for shooting the range record. Talk about "One Lady with Class"! Even though she is missed by all, she showed why Berger is the company that they still continue to be today, in my humble opinion! Keep up the good work Eric. You have a big yardstick to measure up to, and you are doing OK.

Cordially,
Bob Blaine

Berger 80 grn. MEF's really shine in my 1-10" .243 A.I. They are deadly accurate and drop hogs easily. I like their web-site because they display the recommended rate of twist with the bullets.

Berger Bullets for some that don't know was and is the brainchild of Walt Berger. Walt's work with J4 jackets dates back into the 1970's. Now I don't know who owns what and don't care. Berger Bullets and J4 are part of a conglomerate. What I do know is that Walt while having his bullet business in Arizona made many trips over the years to J4 in So Cal to help design and support the bullet jacket company over here. While Berger Bullets was in Arizona their bullets were mad off J4 bullet jackets made in So Cal, Walt being the only distributor. Of coarse you could buy bullet jackets from your favorite vendor and still can. The once acceptable .0003 run out in jackets has the now moved over to .0001 run out that Eric Stecker now living in So Cal works hard to maintain. Other bullet company's such as Sierra, Hornady, and Nosler horde the limited run outs when everything goes right for them in making jackets. At Berger .0001 is the demanded spec though they themselves have to rely on continued good jacket material and staff. Machines can be tweaked to give results people are harder to tweak. Therefore quality control is paramont with Eric at Berger Bullets, tough job but Eric is young and determined to give us shooters and bullet makers the best.

Our new Angeles BR operation will continue to spread the word on Berger Bullets as we did at San Gabriel. I gave away many Berger bullet certificates provided by Walt, Eunice, and Eric for the last 10 years of San Gabriel's Registered Shoots. We will continue at Angeles to give away anything Berger Bullets provide. Before I started making my own I won 50+ trophies with Berger 22 & 6mm bullets. No bad bullets with Berger's just bad holds on my part. Berger's is local to Southern California as is Angeles BR. Also I want to congrat the continued fine shooting of LR BR. 600 & 1000 shooting is an interesting Sport and Berger Bullets is there for them too.
