Berger Bullets new color

Hey everyone. I’ve got some news about Berger that I wanted to share with you all. I hope it doesn’t sound too sales-pitchy, but I want to explain the reasons behind our announcement.

Berger Bullets has had a reputation of making high-quality match bullets for a while, but has only recently opened up into the hunting world. Last month, Eric and Walt went on a hunt to New Zealand with a couple of gun writers. They killed over 30 animals in just a few days, using Berger Match VLD Bullets. This, along with other tests, field tests and The Bullet Test Tube), has shown that Berger VLD Bullets are a great choice for hunting medium to big game animals.

We wanted to educate shooters that Berger Match VLD bullets are an effective option for hunting, so we decided to make a change. Berger 6mm and larger VLD bullets will come packaged in bright, Blaze Orange boxes. “Nothing says ‘good for hunting’ like Blaze Orange.” But while we want to reach out to hunters, we want our competition shooters to realize that the bullets are still exactly the same. Even the labels are the same. The only thing that has changed is the color of the boxes.

This change was primarily to educate hunters, but I wanted to post this on the competition forums for two reasons. First, if you shoot VLD bullets, you will start receiving them in bright blaze orange boxes. Don’t worry – the bullets have not changed in any way. Secondly, we want to inform as many people as possible of this change. Because of all the shooters that visit these forums regularly, the best way to spread news is through these forums.

I have a picture, but wasn’t sure how to include it. So, once you see the boxes, you’ll have to decide what you think about them. We just wanted to make sure you’d know what to expect. If you have any questions or comments, one way or the other), please feel free to email me at michelle.gallagher@bergerbullets.com. We’d love to hear what you think!

Thanks,
Michelle Gallagher

Well I can vouch for the 105 Bergers on deer. I took 3 deer this past fall from 125 yards to 478 yards. All dropped like rocks except the 478 yarder. It succumbed at less than 100 yds. The caliber was the 6 mm brx.
