Berger 87gn VLD for varminting??

I have a great load for Berger 87gn VLDs in my Dasher target rifle and was thinking of using it for rabbit sniping. Has any here tried the 87gn Bergers on small varmints? Were they explosive or zip straight through at longer ranges?

Hmm, I will try them in mine and see how they go on rabbits. If they don't work so well, I will try the 87gn V Max as the load should be fairly close.

I've used the 95gr VLD in my 6BR for varmints. Work well out to 400 yards - beyond that there isn't enough body mass on varmints to get any real expansion & you start getting pencil throughs.
