Berger 80 grain FB Varmint Load Help

Gun Data as follows:
Bat B Action
28'' Krieger 1:8 Twist HV Contour (.237 bore)
6mm BR Norma No turn .272 neck

Picked up some Berger 80 gr FB Varmint bullets for testing to be used in 100/200 yard matches. Anyone have any pet loads to share with me before I start? I looked up some pet data on the forum and it looks like 30.5 varget or 29.0 8208xbr would be good starts to work up to?

Powders I have Varget, 8208xbr, H4895, RL15

Thanks for any advice

Nice rig you built there. I started w my old 6mmbr using Varget & modest powder charges using standard CCI sm. rifle primers. The 80 grain varmint or target bullet from Berger is a fine choice. You can safely step up carefully the powder charges while testing. Keep in mind you may need to change to Magnum or BR4 type primers. After you play with the 80 grain. bullet. Try the Berger 88 gr. Varmint high BC FB #24323 . That bullet my old gun really liked. mike in ct

just goes to show, every rifle is different. unlike mmcu above, i got fantastic, consistent results with N135 in a number of barrels with the 80 gr Bergers. it's a great bullet. there is a node around 30 grs and another one up around 32 grs. 8208 XBR has worked for me, but not as consistently as N135. my cuurent 12 twist Brux hates the 8208 but loves the N135

Did you ever do up a load with varget or xbr 8208 with the 80 gr bergers? Can't find much load data on them.

I ran 80 gr. berger's with reloader 15 and it was awesome in a 1- 10 shilen max load or minimum load
in shorter barrel 23.5 inches .on a Remmington 40x. 1x8 might be hard to get them to fly i'm with other guy
said berger 88gr. or 95gr. fly great out of 1x8.
