Berger 6mm 115 VLD loading for .243

I'm experimenting with my heavy barreled Savage 10 in .243 I'm loading up for long range target/varmint with some 115 VLD Berger Match Grade bullets. I can find little data on loading my .243 for this bullet, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you don't have a 1/7 twist barrel you are wasting your time, they will not stablize at long range.

Wonder would the 115 VLDs stablize in a 24inch 1 in 8 twist 243, ifso what speed should i be aiming for. paul.

I'm not really sure how these bullets will react.65fan says I'm wasting my time without having a 1:7 or faster twist.I've already got the bullets, so as long as I'm wasting them,I might as well waste them downrange. If they look like they'll pan out, which I have my doubts over now,I'll post some results.

If it is a true 1 in 8" twist or slightly faster, and you keep the velocity in the SAFE upper end, you may very well stabilize those pills. Can't hurt to try.

Well, I guess the first step in experimenting with this bullet is to get a starting point for a load. Many folks are using moly coated bullets, and their posts reflect this.I don't plan to coat these bullets, so I'm thinking of using Winchester cases and CCI BR2 primers, and a starting load of 32 grains of AA 4350, I have a lot of it). Anyone think this might be an unsafe start? Too much? Too little?
