6 mm 105 VLD
Bullets, powder, guns and ammunition are selling at record pace and have been for quite some time. People are buying big amounts and sometimes more then they need for fear of not being able to get any.
It just isn't Berger but other brands also can be hard to get. Hornady even stopped making some of there line because it takes time to switch around to make something else. They are concentrating on the ones that sell the most. Matt

Reloading International, www.reloadinginternational.com shows the Berger 105 Match Target VLD available.
I can get 105 VLD most anytime. Now, if you want to talk about 105 Hybrids.

Called them up and they are actually not in stock. But, he said that Berger is claiming that their lines are set up for 6mm bullets so they expect them any day now......

I only see the hunting VLDs in stock at precision reloading. The target VLDs are out of stock. I see the hunting VLDs have a much higher BC than the Target line. Anybody use the hunting VLDs as a direct substitute for the target VLDs?
Not yet, but after talking with Berger about the Hunting version I placed an order. I was told that not only do the Hunting versions make fine target bullets, but many folks select them specifically for precision use not just because they can't get the Target version.
I recently read a blurb from Burger about the difficulty of forming the meplat of the Target versions because of the heavy jacket. The lighter jacket of the Hunting version is apparently easier to form; consequently, they're able to make a more precisely formed tip with lower drag and that improves the B.C.
Plus, don't forget the first rule of bullet selection. "A bullet you can get will always out-perform the bullet that you can't get".
