I have a Shilen barrel about (early August?) to be throated to a cartridge I send them.. It's the .25WSSM I'm rebarreling my Savage 12 BR in. I now have 115gn. VLD Match and 135gn. LR Hybrid Target bullets.. Here's a pic of them with the heel of each bullet occupying about one-half of the neck length..

Because the boattail section of the 135 is much longer than that of the 115, the '135gn. cartridge' is only about 0.038" longer while the bullets are about 0.220" different.
With all that gobblygook well in mind and/or simply ignored, since I can always get the barrel throated longer locally, seems to me I ought to send Shilen the 115gn. cartridge for setting the throating length.. Does that make sense to you experts?
