Berger 185 vs 175

It would appear the Berger 185 OTM and the Juggernaut are identical bullets. However, the Berger 175 OTM gives up performance (slightly lower G7) to the Match LR.

What's the rationale between one being identical and the other not ? I believe the OTM line is designed to be less sensitive to jump than the Target range but why the difference between the 175s but not the 185s ?

The 175 OTM is shorter than the 175 LR BT due to magazine length restrictions. As a tactical bullet, the 175 OTM is primarily intended for the 308 Win, many of them being gas guns with fixed magazine lengths so it's a hard constraint.

The 185 OTM (Juggernaut) is intended more for the 300 Win Mag, as far as a tactical application. Technically, the Juggernaut is too long in the nose for magazine feeding from a standard 300 Win Mag, but many of the newer rifles (XM2010 and MSR) have longer actions, some being switch barrel platforms which means their actions and magazines are sized to allow up to 338 Lapua Mag cartridges. So the 300 Win Mag can be loaded with longer than normal bullets, ie the 185 Juggernaut and the 230 Hybrid.
