Berger 115 match for 30BR project

Is this 30 BR bullet competitive in your opinion with others such as Bibbs and Eubers if the "driver" was the same? Anyone have any experience and how does it shoot out of your rig?Thanks

i have shot some of the berger 125's in a short .308 and they do well shooting 1/2" or so at 200yds but BIBS and some old CHISM (i think) i had shoot better on average. the only way to know for sure is to try them in your particular barrel. i have been very tempted to try the berger 115 since the price is so much better. also, my barrel is a 1/17. i find the speer 125TNT will shoot VERY well for practice. it will also shoot 1/2" or better at 200yds fairly frequently.

I shoot the berger 110 in two 30br last year at bridgeville DE i shot a 250- 23xs at 100yds an won and shot a 250-11xs at 200yds an won and my mentor shot them also and was the man to beat am going to try some 115 this year they are worth a try Mark

Bergers are made by machines.... even their match bullets. Customs are made by hand, each operation the bulletmaker goes through they can see and feel if one is the very same as the last one. I only see customs used in registered BR here in the NorthEast.

I have used the 115 Berger fairly extensively for fire forming cases and in some local competitions. Reason being, my usual custom suppliers were having trouble at the time securing J4 jackets for their bullets and I did not want to deplete my stash.

Am amazed to say, they shot a lot more decent than I thought they would. However, now that the jacket problem is history, I would certainly shoot custom bullets, especially since the Bergers are nearly as expensive or just as expensive as the customs.
