Bergara with small primers?

lookin at buying the Bergara Approach in 6mm Creedmoor. Want to use Lapua brass which means small rifle primers.

does anybody know if the Bergaras firing pin is correct size for either small or large primers. i have sent an email to Bergara, they are closed till after the 1st.

I have a friend shooting a Bergara Creed with small primers and no issues. Several things contribute to blanking small primers so it's not just the pin size. .062" handle it better due to smaller hole leaving less unsupported primer, but pressure and pin fit also play a part. The 47L runs at higher pressure and is more likely to blank a large sloppy fit pin than the Creed.

I don't see what the pin size would have to do with what you are wanting to do?! Normally you go to a smaller pin when having primer problems not because you're changing primer size.

i answered you on the other forum that you posted about it. A rifle does not know what size primer that you are using. If you have a problem, it isn't primer size. If you are looking for info about problems, don't worry about it.
