Bergara HMR bolt swap

I'm looking for some direction for replacing my b-14 HMR bolt with a bergara premier bolt. I replaced the factory trigger with a Triggertech Special but have heard that you can't adjust the trigger weight below the factory weight because it will cause damage to the factory HMR bolt. Will the premier bolt allow for lower trigger weight without any damage?

What is a Bergara Premier Bolt?

I replaced the trigger in my B14R (.22LR) with a TriggerTech Diamond. It is set for 4 ounces right now. No problem so far as I have been shooting it for a year.

Thanks for letting me know. Mine is in 6.5 creedmoor. I just wanted that 1.5 to 1.7 range. Premier bolt is made different I believe and comes in their higher end guns.

Guys have stated that they replaced the standard B14 HMR bolt with the Premier
bolt and supposedly its a drop in swap.

Where have you head that a lighter pull trigger will damage the B14 bolt?

I have close to 4200 rounds through my B14 and it has had a trigger tech and
a Bix n Andy with zero issues.

I did have the bolt bushed due to primer cratering but that is irrelevant to the trigger.

I think the reason for the bolt changes is due to sloppy pin clearance and poor quality bolt shrouds. Pierced small primer Creedmoor rounds caused the pin to shoot back and damage the shroud and maybe the shooter.

I can't paste the link but sniperhide (typed in bergara & triggertech) has a thread from 2019 on it. I could be completely off track but just didn't want to damage anything

I seem to recall reading that (at least part of the) problem was the original shrouds were plastic. There was a change to a metal shroud that made to address the weakness of the plastic shrouds. (I don't have a Bergara; I was researching problems after a friend bought one.)
