Bergara B14 HMR Trigger

Myself and a friend both have the Bergara HMR's and both of us would like a better trigger. Per Bergara, any Remington trigger will work but there's a snag. Bergara says to NOT adjust the trigger below 2 1/2 pounds as the sear won't hold. He's tried Timney, Trigger Tech and possibly a Jewel and none will hold below 2 1/2 pounds. Bergara sells an HMR Pro that comes with the Trigger Tech triggger. He's wanting to buy a bolt but I'm wondering why maybe just buying the firing pin spring would do the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If bergara says not to do it they have a reason. Evidently their tolerances are loose and it wont hold reliably

Out of the box, mine breaks at 2 pounds. Actually that probably is good enough but a one pound trigger would make me smile.

My friend bought a Trigger Tech Special for his rifle. This is what Bergara uses in the Pro model. He said it is holding and breaks considerably lighter than the factory trigger in the standard HMR. I'm going over today with my trigger pull gauge to see where its actually set at. If its considerably lighter, and safe, I will order one for my rifle.
