The NBRSA Louisiana State Hunter Class Varmint for Score Championship will be contested at the Southwest Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Club on 5-May-2024 beginning at 9:00 AM, but come early to allow time to sign in and get your equipment set up. A separate division is available for those that want to shoot Heavy Varmint class. The club address is 5720 Old Camp Rd, Bell City, LA. You need around 80-90 rounds to complete the match which consists of 25 shots at 100 yds and 25 shots at 200 yds, plus as many sighters as you need. Bring your lunch and drinks, as there is no place to buy food at the club. The match will probably conclude between about 3:00 and 4:30 depending on whether there are more or less than 20 shooters.
If you are not an NBRSA member, you have time to join in time for the match. Call Pam Campbell, NBRSA Business Manager, at (434) 993-9201 on Monday April 29 and tell her you need to sign up because you want to compete in a registered match on 5-May.
If you want to learn more about Varmint for Score matches or the equipment rules for Heavy Varmint or Hunter classes, there is quite a bit of information including match schedules and the match rules on the National Bench Rest Shooting Association website, NBRSA.org.
