Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

Joe Meyer made us some new range flags so this is going to be a great year for Fclass at St. Louis ! Looking forward to the great shooting I see coming. The way they busted up range records last year I just can't imagine what's next. I got work to do if I want to keep my head above water this year, lol

Mike,

What are the particulars for the NRA High Power Mid Range matches? I can't remember cost, round count and start times.

Mike, what are these matches "High Power NRA X/C 200-300-600"?

Is it like F class, but shot at 3 different distances? What type of rifle can be used? If you can give me the basic info about this then that would be great. Thanks Mike!

Hi Jerod, X/C is abbreviation for Across the Coarse. This is 3 position sling shooting. I just went ahead and posted their complete schedule as a courtesy to them. Here is the program they shoot...

20 shots Standing slow fire @ 200
20 shots. Sitting from Standing rapid fire @ 200
20 shots. Prone from Standing rapid fire @ 300
20 shots. Prone slow fire @ 600

Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

Hi Mike,

I guess due to the NBRSA Nationals followed by WBSF Championship, the BRRC will not be having the MO State F-Class Championship (two-day event) as it has for at least that last couple of years late in September.

Do you know where the MO State F-Class Championship* will be held?

Thx!

Nando
PS. * I really enjoyed those matches!

Alex, nothing has been slated yet that I know of. The only club that could put it on is St.Louis because there must be pits to hold one. There is a open date on Oct 3rd but it is only a one day opening. The big bench matches kinda messed up September for us at St.Louis.

Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

I guess you have exploredthe idea of combining a high power match and extend it for 1 day

Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

Getting closer shooters, I'm working on repair centers for the targets right now. Time to get the dust off those rifles and load up the ammo. A few of us are already practicing for the brawl that's about to commence in just over 2 weeks. Brett's got a fancy new rifle so be sure to check out all the knobs on his new scope. See you on the line.

Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

Ill try to make it. Going to be a tight year in terms of time to shoot. Hope to see you all there

Ah what the heck, count me in for the April match. I dont have anything better to do then hang with you guys. (And gals!) I may have a new trick up my sleeve this year? Professor Plum anyone?

Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

Jacob , I've been wondering why you haven't been on the line much. You are a very talented shooter and should be taking advantage of your youth to gain a foothold in the sport. Glad to hear your coming back to the line.

Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

Well it was a great day of practice today until I pierced a primer and broke my trigger. Looks like I have a couple weeks to replace the trigger and get a bushing installed on my bolt, so I can take Mike's dollar.

Well Brett, like they say in boxing.... That's a tough punch to throw when your flat on your back, Lol

I got a old deer rifle i can loan you for the match !

Re: Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis April 2nd F-Class Match

Ya ya ya. I also just realized when I pierced the primer I was using federal 205's and in the past I was only using cci 450's and didn't have an issue. I think using small rifle magnum 450 primers might be the ticket. I just grabbed a 1,000 of them. Now I just need to find a trigger.
