Benchrest in Arkansas

Done a few searches and I've run out of ideas....

Anyone know of a place that benchrest macthes are being shot in Central Arkansas? Found some F-class stuff, but nothing else.

Some of us Texans are coming up for the Arkansas State 100-200yds. Championship the 22nd and 23rd of this month. It is in Pencil Bluff. We just really have a great time and it is one of the most fair and beautiful ranges.

Benton Gun Club, http://www.bentongunclub.org )has a high power match on the 1st Sunday of each month. The first CF match is 200 and 300 yards shot from either prone,F-Class or open sights) or from the bench. Not a BR match per se but it is close to you. We had one shooter come out and shoot is 6PPC with us one match and got soundly beaten - never came back.

We also have a 200 yard RF prone or bench rest match the same morning at 8 am, before the wind picks up. At 1 pm that day we shoot as-issued military service rifles at 200 yards.

Other than that Rimfire Ridge is the only other BR match I know of in Arkansas. The Memphis Sport SHooters Association, http://www.memphis-ssa.com/schedule.pdf ) show a BR match on their schedule, but I know nothing about it.

I have an AR-50 also and we can shoot them at Benton Gun Club and our range is out to 600 yards).

the range is about 4 mi west of penci bluff on maguire rd. maguire rd is a dead end at the range. there is a sign on maguire after you turn on it.
there is a 2 day match aug 22 and 23. the razorback turkey shoot. small group can win you a turkey.

The Old Fort Gun Club in Van Buren is a really nice range but I don't think they hold any BR matches just small bore stuff on the 100yd range. They have a really nice 300yd range with 2 benches. Lots more room for more benches and covered shooting but nothing has ever came of it. It would be really nice to have a BR shoot there as its really close to my house. OH and watch out for the old-timers that freak out on you if you touch your gun-case 'the gun case not the gun' while someone is down range....watched a guy get yeld at like a dog in front of his kid by some old guy who is way over zelis about the rules....made me sick, still haven't joined back up because of that doush-bag.
