Benchmark in 6Br ??

I was going thru my powders over the weekend. I found almost a full 8lb jug of Benchmark. Does anyone use this in a 6mmBR ?? What bullets and charges do you use with FPS ??

I use it all the time with very nice results, mainly with 70 grain and under bullets in the 6BR.

Try it. I think you'll like it a lot.

Best group I fired with my 1:10 twist 6BR was with Benchmark. I moved on to Varget after I used up what I had on hand. Good shooting. Later! Frank

Benchmark is the first powder I tried in one of my 6BR's. It also was without a doubt the best powder I ever shot in that rifle, I was shooting the 105 Berger VLD. Trouble I had was it was the middle of summer and I was blowing primers. I blamed it on the Benchmark being to temp sensitive, so I put it up and never went back to it. That rifle blew a couple of primers with Varget as well. I sent the bolt off the Gretan and he bushed it and installed a smaller fireing pin. While I have never revisited Benchmark I really should as it did shoot very well.

I use Benchmark with 60 - 70 grain weight bullets in my 6BR with excellent results.

I shoot it with 80's in the 6br and it has been the most consistant and accurate I've found for my rifle. I don't remember the velocity of the top of head, but it was on par with other powders that I tried.
