I sold the rifle that I had in this stock and have decided I'm never going to use it. It's a Don Stith style stock most likely carved by Mark Weader. I got it in a package deal used. The previous owner had bedde the barrelled action in the stock. It was a poor job in my opinion and I was able to clean up his work and install two small pillars and bed the action. I also bedded the bottom metal. The stock has been shortened 2" but looks pretty good in the pics I think. The stock is cherry wood and has a 3" forend. I also installed a cherry buttplate with screws that could be easily removed. The finish is 5 or 6 coats of boiled linseed oil.
The attached pictures are with and without my 1710 Stainless AV. The stock will likely fit the 1712 also. I'm including 2 mounting screws cut to length, but they are stainless. The bottom metal and barrelled action are not included only the screws. I tried to cover everything and hope the pictures are good enough. I had the camera set on pretty low resolution. Asking $350 shipped to the lower 48.
Thanks.
