What action configuration do you prefer?

I use right bolt, right port, right eject.

Another vote for Kauger BR III, I like it better than my Bat B, super smooth and great folks to deal with I'm right handed shooter so left feed, right eject

They are Excellent actions. I build F Class rifles with them.

I won’t buy anything but a right bolt, left load, drop port now for a bench gun. It’s way faster and safer for brass than any other configuration. Swap bolt and load port if you’re a lefty.

I use older Farleys that I have worked on and Bat Neuvos.

This. ^^^^^ It's what I am used to for the last 60+ years. And I am a picker by nature. Did try 2 Bat dual ports for 3 seasons in VFS- not natural for me. I stuck with R-R in Hunter Class throughout and it's where my comfort zone lies.

I like RRR's but if I were to build another Varmint class gun it would be a drop port. Not an option with Hunter rifles or I'd go that way too. When I started shooting Score Benchrest I don't recall anyone using an ejector. After a few years, I was at a Nationals and watched Kent Harshman shooting a RRR. As I recall, he won that Nationals. I could see right away it was a whole lot better not handle empties until the card was completed was a whole lot easier.

On a Budget the older Panda same configuration. Still very competative when you do your part.

Left hand shooters would want left bolt right port left eject. I enjoy competing with both.

I know where a like new 40x is setting in 222 Mag, it's in the 40x Walnut BR stock. Like new, and he has some brass and dies with it.
