bell and carlson stock question for a model 12 fv 204 ruger

i just bought a bell and carlson stock off of midway usa for 79.00 Bell and Carlson DuraMaxx Stock Savage 10 Series Short Action Blind Magazine Heavy Barrel Varmint and Tactical Synthetic Black with Gray Spiderweb i was wondering if anyone has purchased one if it fit nicely and if there groups got tighter i bought it for a model 12 fv 204 ruger thanks

I've got one on a long action. Mine needed the barrel channel and tang area worked on a little and bedded of course. It needed a little work but for $80 I would expect that. I never shot that rifle with the factory stock but groups improved after working over the B&C.

I purchased the Medalist fully adjustable Bell and Carlson last week for my Rem 700 .308 Varmint. This is the stock with the full aluminum bedding block. It's twice the weight of the factory stock but has tightened my groups from 3/4" to around 1/4" at 100yds and keeping me around 1/2" at 200 yds. For me it was a drop in fit and I'm quite happy with it. Hope yours works out as well.

I also bought the Bell & Carlson Medalist/Tactical stock, the model pictured in "Varmint Hunter" magazine), except mine is the flat black. Drop-in, perfect fit, barrel clears forend all the way to the receiver the thickness of 4 one dollar bills. Full-length aluminum bedding block & fit to receiver all perfect. 2 1/4" flat forend rides the front bag smoothly, like the vertical pistol grip. Very happy with it, and the delivered price of $213 was very reasonable, I thought, and yes, the Savage 10FP .223 is producing smaller groups now. One of my better recent purchases.:)
