Being disorganized is costly

I recently had a Redding .223 bushing die modified to accept 6mm case necks for my 6x45. Well the brass I'm using needs a .262/.263 neck bushing, I scoured the net and nobody seems to have both in stock at the same place. I finally found them and got them ordered off of ebay and way over paid for steel bushings. Got them in and now using the .263 bushing and decided to put back the .262 so I would know where it is. When I went to put it in my spare parts box I found a whole set from .261-.265!
Just ordered a bunch of Redding bushing storage boxes.... dang it!

GONRA keeps from "double purchasing" (most dreaded Reloading Hobby Scourge) by maintaining detailed inventory files on my trusty Dell Laptop.
As you guys suggested, its easy to buy all sorts of extra stuff you already have. At 84 years olde just have to remember the !@#$% file names.
Oh Well...

How many of you guys have that mysterious "twilight zone layer" just above your shop floor? You know, that thin layer where tiny dropped things disappear forever.

The variable eyepiece on my Zeiss spotter took a hit, I went looking for the fix one. I combed every boxes, every drawer, unloaded all gun safes it was nowhere to be found.

I have a wall to wall to ceiling cabinets on one side of my reloading room, reluctantly I decided to check the top cabinets, down to the last door, still no eyepiece. What I found instead is a pristine complete1903A3 3.5M S/N bedded in a nice wood stock. No barrel.

For the life of me I have no recollection on when I acquired it and from whom.. Santa must have put it there. I could not even ask the wife as she does not know what I have in the room. Otherwise she would have been a great source. She remembers all the birthdays of everybody on both sides of the family, and she does not use the address book on her phone, she can dial anyone we know from memory.
