Bob: I'm also seeing more than the usual powder and primers. Stopped at a small gunsmith/ shop and saw Varget, WW231, 748, a lot of IMR rifle powders, Hodgdon, Federal, Remington & Winchester primers.

The owner said he's still finding it hard to get bullets and brass.

There is a shop in my neck of the world that has a wall full of rifle powders and the wall stays that way. He is asking $40.00 per pound and just over $300.00 for 8#'s. Last I checked the same containers were still in the same place. He is asking crazy prices on primers as well. I think $60.00 per 1000 Tula LR's.

Some primers magically went up in price around here, used to be $3.10 for the regular CCIs and $3.70 for the BR flavor, which have now gone to $6.75.

I'm seeing a lot of rifle powders lately. Went into Cabela's yesterday and saw a whole shelf full.

Too bad it was all IMR-4350 and I was looking for IMR-4064 or IMR-8298 XBR.

I always see huge quantities of 50BMG. I wonder, is there any way to "split the granules" so it's more suitable for smaller cartridges 8)

A small shop here has a lot of powder. The other day I actually saw 30 jugs of Varget @ $28.00 per. He had tons of others on the shelves. Finally a light at the end of the tunnel.

Man I'd love to see that. My local rip off, err shop has h1000 for 299.00 plus tax. I picked up a pound of us869 for 40 to try some loads in a 7 ultra mag. He had 3 of the h1000 he can keep them for that price. I gotta hit the big city to look. I'd like to find 4 lbs of 4831 each of hodgons and imr maybe someh4895 would be nice too

Last week, my local gun shop owner told me his distributor told him to be prepared for all powder prices to jump sky high this summer.

Can you substantiate that powder is going way up or is it the same old dealer nonsense.
