Beginner here: is a range finder with binoculars a good value?

I am searching for a nice range finder but I also need a great binocular. Are the combinations good? I have a friend that has a Leica 1200 CRF and wants to sell it. I wonder what that would be worth?

For hunting, it is a great tool, worth every penny, make sure you get the ones with ballistic calculator on board.

My Leica 1200 is not a binocular, do they make one as binocular??

The Geovid is binocular and a fine instrument IMO. Heavy, but fine, worth it.

On your last question, I have had 7 rangefinders and the hardest spec to find is "beam divergence"

Leica RULES this roost

(The Most Important One IMO)

Rangefinder binoculars are heavy but they take the place of two tools. I love it in the prairie dog towns because I check range constantly and it sure is nice not to switch back and forth. For hunting you might only need the range a couple times per day, wouldn't be too much trouble to pull out the rangefinder.
Leica is a fine one and so is Zeiss, but the Swarovski performs better in a dog town. For my type of shooting I don't need a ballistic program just the range. If your style of hunting would be aided by a computer for long range bullet performance that opens another whole subject.
