The whole time this mess has been going on my wife has been working directly on Covid floors at the hospital and we never had any worries about getting it. Both of us were fully vaccinated early on for concerns for her job placing here in direct contact with those infected. Turns out my oldest son got it from his job and he brought it over right after Christmas and sure enough I got it! It has been living hell unable to take in enough air to get my blood/ox levels over 89-90. Spent one whole day in the ER being poked and jabbed and x-rayed and anything else they though they needed to try and in the end they just sent me home to let it run it's course. If you never get it consider yourself lucky, I can only imagine how bad it would have been had I not been vaccinated for it.
Try to keep safe....

Glad you're better. Neighbor had it in the 1st round in Feb. 2020. It put him in ICU for 10 weeks and he's still not 100%. The rest of the family had minor flu symtoms for a couple days and that was it. (go figure).

Can't say much myself as I think I had it, but never a bad case of it. Been vaxxed too, but I think I had it before that. Some people I knew had it (verified) and didn't seem to come out the worse for wear. Other people I knew had it... :(
No idea how it affects some way harder than others.

Glad you are on the mend from it. :)

I started showing symptoms Friday Jan 7th. I just tested positive this morning. I got vaccinated in April. Friday night sucked, I didn't sleep at all. I had 100.3 fever. It felt just like the flu. My fever just broke last night. I'm still coughing and hacking stuff up. I've been confined to my bed room since Friday and it sucks. Walls are starting to close in.

Glad you came through it LT!

I was never vaccinated, got it twice, 1st time was rough 2nd time no big deal. Vaccines may help lessen severity but vaccinated people still spread, catch, and die from the disease.

Everyone will be exposed at some point in time as Covid is here to stay - just as seasonal influenza is. They can't cure either one. And those who have compromised respiratory sytems will suffer the most. Take proper care of yourself and exercise.

If your immune system is compromised, or your health is poor in general, I would consider all options to protect yourself. But don't fall into a false sense of security based on what the "experts" tell you.

Had the original back in March 2020, vaccine in April 2021 and Delta in August '21. Delta was like a "lite" version of the original strain, but lasted longer (2 weeks).

I was looking for a picture of the tee shirt... :D

Sorry to hear you went through that!
Glad to hear your still with us!

Only according to the 2021 definition. Pre-2021, the definition included, “…to create immunity.”
Ever known anyone with the polio vaccine get polio? Small pox? Typhoid?
Literally the ONLY people I know getting Covid right now, are the jabbed.
This ^^^^^^^ would have been a mic drop and rightly so. Call it what it is a stupid shot or now after 2+ years shot that MAY keep you from getting it. There is NO DIFFERENCE than an annual Flu shot from a covid shot(s).
