Bedding pillars and recoil lug/reciever

I know everyone uses the Devcon stuff to bed actions. I assume because it has a thicker consistency. The Devcon temp rating is 250F max. Any reason NOT to use JB weld steel reinforced? It has a max temp of 550F. beside being kinda runny, I would like to use it instead. I think the PSI rating on the JB is higher also. Any down sides? Use the same types of mold release?.(I will be using either Johnson paste wax -or Kiwi shoe polish).

With exceptions-
The slower the cure time the cooler the mix.
The faster the cure time the hotter the mix.

Shrinkage rates dictated from above also.

The hotter the mix,I'd opt for the Johnson's Paste Wax as a release agent, not the Kiwi Shoe Polish.

Your exactly right. I had experimented on a scrap piece of 2x2 and some saw cut pieces of aluminum. The piece with the Johnsons was a lot easier to remove.
