Bedding a synthetic remington stock

What, if anything, can I use to pillar bed a synthetic stock? I have devcon but I have read that the synthetic acts as a release agent. Now maybe I'm wasting my time, but I recently bought a .223 for my boy and bedded it in a wood stock. Now if I want to shoot it I need to put it in the synthetic stock, but would like the benefits of it being pillar bedded. Plus, I can always use the bedding practice.

You don't say which rem stock you want to bed, I think you may have the injection molded stock as that is the most common. You need to rough the surface with something like a Dremel tool with a burr or sanding drum, go a 1/32 deep or more. I then drill or grind holes and grooves to LOCK the beding material in place. The molded surfaces have release agent on them so thats why you grind, rough is good. I have used the Devcon alum putty and had good luck with it.

Consider pillars as well. Brownells has their adjustable ones that I have used successfully on both flat and round receivers. Just makes an sounder anchoring system.

It is the injection molded stock. I am also planning aluminum pillars. One plus for the stock is I can put lots of weight in it.
