Beautiful Wood for Stock Makers

I had the pleasure to view some stunning blanks while at the NRA Exhibits in Houston, TX.
Images were not ideal given the intense overhead LED lights in the venue. Photos rarely convey the depth/nuances of near holographic grain, but I believe most will still appreciate these impressive examples of Mother Nature’s beauty.

Very very nice! Good wood is getting very hard to get. Bc'z loves to rub wood, and would put a stunning finish on these.

I’m thinking that wood like that, put to hard use on a hunting rifle, would have some outstanding “character” over a lifetime.

$1000.00 to $1500.00 for a piece of wood??? I can think of a few "coke dealers" that should get into that business. No going to jail for selling a piece of wood.

Agreed with jpjulian about wood prices. Who is the dealer, got a URL?
Bc'Z is about done with mine. It is a wowser! stock.
And, I have one with vertical grain pattern and the RAD cheekpiece and butt stock installed. If I sold it here, I would want about $1800 + shipping/insurance.
I saw a Bastogne blank Cecil Freedi had two years ago. Asked $3200, and got it.
