Beaufort,SC range?

I’m looking for a range around the Beaufort,SC area for either 1-300 yards or out to a 1000 yards. I am here working and can bring a firearm for one or both. Looking to pass some time on the weekends. Thanks

Check with the guys at Shepard Tactical in Beaufort. An old friend of mine joined a range they opened which is Yemassee, which is a 30 minute drive at most. I think he said it goes out to 600 or so, I can't remember. The guys at Shepard are great to do business with and give great service also. I also shoot where I work on an impromptu range, but is about an hour away from Beaufort and very remote. I can get to a thousand I think, but haven't ventured past 500 yds so far.

I'd have to give zero stars to Dos Lupes which is N of Ridgeland. Granted it has been several years since I unjoined, but there were no organized matches that we're welcomed by the owner even though several attempts were made over the years. Like most shooting venues, met a very good bud there.
If you really want a pot full of organized matches, the one west of Summerville has an outstanding choice of disciplines...Palmetto Gun Club. GREAT facilities. Goes out to 800 yds, 8 pistol bays, 100 yd covered, concrete firing line.

Well if you're not to far you can shoot at hawk's ridge in North Carolina it is a 1000yd range.

And they have nice big Live Oak shade trees so you can cool down on hot days.

I never saw those but I do remember when the black flag was flying they took us inside so no one could see the PT. .... jim

Was at PI in June of 64....black flag month for sure. Didn't matter in 1st Btn they just went behind the barracks on the marsh side and carried on.

I go up to the range north of Yemassee called Have Gun Will Sell....only goes to 200 but I like it.

I’ve only seen pictures, but it looks nice, and people speak well of it.

Run up 17 to Charleston, maybe 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. The road work on 17 is pretty much done, though has been a couple months since I was on it.

Some of their ranges are pretty nice. A word of caution though, do not leave a weapon at the bench and go down range to change targets. It might disappear....
