Bead blasting a picatiny rail

Would there be any ill effects in bead blasting a Tally 20moa alloy picatiny rail such as rounding off of the corners or getting it out of specs?
TIA

Seems to me it would depend on the type/grit of blasting media used. Check out Talcum powder blasting and other medias that produce minimal metal removal. Course media like emery could "dish out" the flat linear surfaces of a scope base. I'm sure someone on this forum has working experience as a media blaster and could give better specifics. Also, enlighten us as to type of metal used in your base.

I have never bead blasted a scope rail but have done plenty of bead blasting, if you keep the air
Pressure low and use a fine grit media you will be fine
