Bausch & Lomb Spotting Scope

A number of years ago, I purchased a Bausch & Lomb spotting scope that was an eight hundred millimeter lens with a right-angle adapter that came with two eyepieces to make an approximately twenty-six and forty-four power spotting scope. Does anyone remember these or better yet know the thread size of the lens? I am looking for the extension tube/adapter to convert it to use as a telephoto lens. I understand that these were supposed to come with it but mine didn't have it in the box. There weren't any lens caps to protect the lens either! :(

Disclaimer: my B&L spotting scope was purchased from an older gentleman who used it for indoor .22 rimfire competition, and his comment that one bull on the standard NRA smallbore 50 ft. target filled up almost all the viewable diameter was not kidding, the reason being that when he bought it, it came with a 60x eyepiece!

In order to make it more useful for my purposes, I took a chance that the eyepieces used some sort of industry standard thread and bought a 25x Bushnell eyepiece - it fits perfectly. Don't know if this escapade will help you, but it's at least another piece of the puzzle.

Whoa... is that an 800 mm diameter objective, or do you mean the length of the B&L? 800 millimeters is 31.49 inches! That would be the mother of all spotting scopes...

It is the focal length of the lens. On a 35mm film camera it would give 16x magnification. On a digital single lens reflex camera it would give 24x. If I can get an adapter for it. :(
