Bat's built in recoil lug ?? enough

I'm sitting here looking at the new Bat VR action wondering if the little recoil lug they have on it it enough, it .300" thick, 1.325" wide but only .100" long.

I'm planning to build a "tactical" style rifle on this chambered in 308 win. I'm sure that this is enough bearing surface providing its properly bedded,I'm just wondering whey they made it so small on an action thats tang fits like a Rem 700 and doesen't offer any "lug" benifits like the other target action.

Anybody have any dealing with these or have any oppinions on them? I'm happy to report that this repeater style action is just as smooth and slick as the traget actions they are known for.

the square tang will also work as a recoil lug when properly bedded.

I've never had any issues with my SV and B actions.

I had similar reservations when I built a tactical on a BAT RS action, they were unfounded.

Despite the small size of the lug insert, it functions perfectly.

I think it is kind of strange... why not a bigger recoil lug?

Besides, anyone could tell me what is the "PIC" that is on the name of some actions from BAT, as the "Model VRPIC Repeater" for example?
